Register a coexisting number
Connect a number already used on the app WhatsApp Business to the WhatsApp Business API Platform. The number remains usable on the app during onboarding.
Prerequisite
A number already registered on the app WhatsApp Business
Access to the phone to scan a QR code
Access to a Meta Business / Facebook Business Manager account
An old Facebook account
A professional website of 4 to 5 pages (optional)
Procedure
Click on Connect to start.
Log in via Facebook Business Manager, then click Continue.
Select your Business Portfolio and your WhatsApp Business Account.
Click on Next.
Enter your WhatsApp Business number (the one from the app), then click Next.
Scan the QR code displayed on the screen from the WhatsApp Business app.
Accept the permissions (import Contacts + history of the last 6 months), then click Confirm.
Wait up to 45 seconds.
Once connected, provide the WhatsApp account name and the time zone.
Click on Next, then on Confirm to finalize.
Select the coexisting number, add the channel name, then choose a color.
Open the channel, then click the WhatsApp icon and launch Complete WA Biz Onboarding.
Verify that the channel appears as Connected in the panel.
If the QR code expires, simply restart the connection flow. If you decline the import, the history will not be recovered.
